Fourteen photographers interpret the theme of Water and display their work from 13-24 May 2022 in Sesto Calende (VA), Italy. My focus was on combining water with portraiture and to pull the attention towards some physical and poetic qualities of water.

Water is beautiful.
It is transparent, it can hide things, but it reflects.
It captures sprinkles of light, as well as black depths.
Water is like an elastic mirror that can create multiple
fragmented images of the same reality.
It is attractive due to its continuous motion
incessantly producing new views.
Water can invent alienating and frightening cubist imagery,
yet it was able to seduce Narcissus.
"Water surrounds us. In the sea, in lakes, in watercourses, in a glass. It is cloud, fog, dew, snow and ice. In the exhibition "Visions on water", reflections and transparencies are captured by fourteen photographers of the JRC Ispra FotoCineClub. In this group exhibition the authors are enquiring about their relationship with the manifold shapes of water. Photos on display range from pure contemplation of a landscape to the use of water as a compositional element."

"L’acqua è attorno a noi. Nel mare, nei laghi, nei corsi d’acqua, in un bicchiere. E’ nuvola, nebbia, rugiada, neve e ghiaccio. Nella mostra “Sguardi sull’acqua”, riflessi e trasparenze vengono catturati dalle sensibilità di quattordici fotografi del FotoCineClub del CCR di Ispra, che in una mostra collettiva si interrogano sul loro rapporto con le molteplici forme dell’acqua. L’itinerario proposto si estende dalla pura contemplazione di un paesaggio all’utilizzo dell’acqua come elemento compositivo."

L'acqua è meravigliosa.
Trasparente, nasconde e riflette allo stesso tempo.
Cattura gocce di luce e profondità oscure.
L'acqua è come uno specchio, uno specchio elastico che può creare diverse immagini frammentate della realtà.
Il suo movimento continuo eternamente produce
nuove percezioni, immagini alienanti e anche spaventose
come in un quadro cubista.
Ma ancora riesce a sedurci, come Narciso.
